Local Charity supported by C2C2C Event
On 1st July 2021 a local fundraising group, C2C2C Lincs, held a 100-mile bike ride across Lincolnshire.
It was their 10th year and was a huge success with an amazing turnout of nearly 500 riders attending on the day.
Boston Community Transport were humbled to have been chosen by them as a nominated charity to raise money for.
Andrew Webster, Chair, and Angela Gould, Office Manager attended the event and were waiting at the finish line for the amazing riders to return.
Angela Gould said ‘We would like to express our thanks to C2C2C for choosing our Charity and also for the invitation to attend, it was an excellent event and extremely well organised. We would also like to thank C2C2C’s sponsors without whom the event wouldn’t have been possible’.
‘Boston Community Transport is only a very small charity and really appreciate events such as this supporting our cause. We rely on grants and fundraising to operate, so to be chosen means the world’.
We provide a transport alternative for socially isolated, vulnerable, and elderly members of the Borough of Boston. Our volunteer drivers take customers where they need to get to, wait at no extra charge, and return them home safely again. All for just 60p per mile, with a minimum charge of £5 per journey.
