You could think the service we offer is not for you and is somebody else’s problem.

Right now you maybe fit and well, able to get out and about with good mobility and access to transport.

But will it be like that in 10 years time?

The likelihood is that time will catch-up with you. Medical problems may mean you can’t drive a car or walk to a bus stop. Living on a state pension may mean you can’t afford a taxi to get to the hospital or shops. Your family may have moved away, are living their own lives and aren’t on hand to take you places.

If these things happen, then you’ll need Boston Community Transport.

Our service relies in volunteers to operate. So without them, that’s your problem in 10 years time. We won’t be there when you need us.

To safeguard our service now and have it available when you need it why not volunteer as a driver.

If you are retired, semi-retired or just looking for something new to do and have a few hours spare each week we would love to hear from you.

There are no fixed hours, you only drive when you want to.

DRIVERS - use their own cars and receive 45p per mile to cover expenses.

You will need fully comprehensive insurance, a full clean driving license, a clean well maintained vehicle and have a DBS check (carried out by us, at no expense to you).

As well giving back to your community, volunteering has a positive impact on health and can help develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge.

If you have a few hours each week to spare and would like a new challenge please call 01205 360183 or email office@bostonct.org.uk with a few details about yourself. We would love to hear from you.

Our office is open 9.00am to 2.00pm Monday - Friday, or leave a message anytime.
